One of Katherine Wohlers’ favorite quotes is “Do the Right Thing When No One is Watching.”  It says a lot about this outgoing, friendly and caring real estate professional. Her laser focus on protecting her clients’ best interests every step of the way is key to her successful career as a respected agent and key member of The Singleton Team.

“I believe in treating my buyers and sellers the way I would like to be treated,” explains Katherine. “I know the process of buying or selling can be exciting to some, but to others, it can be emotionally difficult. I find it important to understand the emotions surrounding each transaction. I know that if I understand what my clients are experiencing and feeling, and if I know the “WHY” behind their move, I can provide a more personalized, caring and empathetic level of service.”

Katherine is passionate about her work helping buyers and sellers pursuing the American Dream. “I receive so much joy in helping someone who has dreamed of owning their own home achieve that reality,” she notes. Katherine enjoys serving a wide variety or people and market segments, including buyers, sellers, Millenials, as well as Empty Nesters. She also specializes in helping Real Estate Investors, and she really enjoys helping buyers and sellers in the Historic District.

Katherine loves the emotional side of making a move. “The range of emotions my clients experience runs from super excited to move into the home of their dreams to super anxious about selling the home they have lived in many years and have created so many memories in,” she explains. “My job is to help my clients manage those emotions so they can make sound financial decisions.

Prior to finding her dream career in real estate, Katherine worked in an Orthodontic office, serving as orthodontic assistant, treatment coordinator and marketing manager for the clinic. “I draw from that marketing experience when I’m working to market and showcase my clients’ listings so they stand out from competing homes, she explains.

Katherine was born in Gainesville, FL and moved to Jacksonville when she was 1 year old. Her mother was a homemaker and her father was the youth pastor at First Baptist Church Jax for 20 years.  She has four siblings. The family was part of a homeschool co-op and they played sports at local public schools.

For Katherine, one of the benefits of homeschooling was the ability to travel during the school year. “I have many memories of doing homework on camping trips, on the balcony of a beach condo and even inside a ski lodge,” she says. Growing up, Katherine enjoyed Basketball, Track and Field, and she played the piano, harp and sang in chorus. A little-known fact about Katherine is that she once sang for a “Let There Be Peace on Earth” Winn Dixie Commercial!

Katherine carries those same close knit family values to her own family. Married for 14 years to her husband, Scott Wohlers, they have two children, Kyleigh (13) and Charlie (7).  The family enjoys going to the beach, playing basketball in the backyard and playing board games. Katherine also likes watching documentaries, cooking and baking with her daughter and reading and listening to audio books. Her bucket list of items to do include bungee jumping off Victoria Falls in Africa, taking her kids skiing for the first time and successfully growing a garden.
